Molton Brown's advent calendar is built around scent: perfumes, shower gels, hand care and candles from across the brand's fragrance range. The 2026 edition is the first to include a full-size bottle of eau de parfum. This is a research-based guide rather than a hands-on test. What works

Worth knowing

Almost everything is scented, so it isn't for anyone who prefers unscented products or reacts to fragrance
Apart from the 30ml perfume and the hand cream, most products are smaller than Molton Brown's standard sizes: its shower gels are normally 300ml
The seven smaller perfumes are 7.5ml each, enough to get to know a scent rather than a bottle that lasts
It's a big spend, so it makes most sense for someone who will actually use the fragrances

Who it's for

It's worth it for someone who loves fragrance and enjoys trying new scents, or who already likes Molton Brown and will use the shower gels and hand care. Skip it if the person prefers unscented products, or already has a signature scent they always wear: a full-size bottle of that one will make them happier than 24 doors of variety.

There are 24 doors. The headline is a full-size 30ml bottle of Fiery Pink Pepper eau de parfum. Seven more doors hold 7.5ml eaux de parfum in Tea Ceremony, Mesmerising Oudh Accord & Gold, Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel, Rose Dunes, Sunlit Clementine & Vetiver, Re-charge Black Pepper and Neon Amber, and there's a limited-edition gunmetal travel case to carry them in.

For the bathroom there are four 100ml shower gels (Tea Ceremony, Mesmerising Oudh Accord & Gold, Re-charge Black Pepper and Neon Amber), two 50ml body creams (Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel and Fiery Pink Pepper), and Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel shampoo and conditioner in 100ml bottles.

The hand care is Red Berry Revel hand wash and hand lotion (100ml each), and Orange & Bergamot hand wash (100ml) and hand cream (40ml). The last doors hold a 10ml Vitamin Lipsaver and two 65g candles, in Mesmerising Oudh Accord & Gold and Orange & Bergamot.

The sizes are practical. The 100ml shower gels are a third of the size of Molton Brown's standard 300ml bottles, which makes them handy for travel, and the 40ml hand cream is the same tube that's sold on its own (it's one of the picks in my luxury beauty stocking fillers guide). Calendar prices change a lot before December, so check the current price on the Amazon page.
