Is the ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Body Duo gift set worth it? Who it suits, and who should skip it

This Christmas gift set pairs two ELEMIS Pro-Collagen body products in smaller sizes: the Marine Body Cream and the Body Cleansing Balm. This is a research-based guide rather than a hands-on test. It covers what's in the set, how each product works and who it's worth buying for, using ELEMIS's own product information and UK retailers' listings.
ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Body Duo Christmas gift set (Marine Body Cream 50ml, Body Cleansing Balm 75ml)
What works
- A way to try two of ELEMIS's best-known body products without buying full-size bottles
- A shower-to-moisturiser pair that makes a complete, easy-to-use gift
- The body cream has the rose and mimosa scent of ELEMIS's original Marine Cream, which fans of the brand will recognise
- The cleansing balm turns from balm to milk to soft foam on damp skin, which feels more luxurious than a shower gel
Worth knowing
- The sizes are small (a 50ml cream and a 75ml balm), so this is a treat or a trial rather than a long-term supply
- Both products are fragranced, and the balm contains essential oils, so it's not the choice for very sensitive skin
- Firming claims for body creams are modest at best; think of it as a rich, pleasant moisturiser
- Christmas sets are made for the season, so if they love it, they'll be buying the full sizes next
Who it's for
It's worth it as a gift for someone who'd enjoy a pampering shower routine, or who likes ELEMIS's Marine Cream and wants to try the body range. Skip it if they have fragrance-sensitive skin, or if you want something that will last for months.
This is a Christmas edition gift set from ELEMIS. It contains two products from the brand's Pro-Collagen body range in smaller sizes: Pro-Collagen Marine Body Cream (50ml) and Pro-Collagen Body Cleansing Balm (75ml). The full-size versions are much larger bottles, so think of this as a try-me set.
The Body Cleansing Balm is a body wash with a difference: you massage it onto damp skin, where ELEMIS says it turns from a liquid balm into a milk and then a soft foam before you rinse it away. It's made with starflower, camelina and echium oils and a blend of nine essential oils, including lavender, chamomile and eucalyptus. Keep it away from the eyes.
The Marine Body Cream is the body version of ELEMIS's well-known Pro-Collagen Marine Cream for the face. ELEMIS names three key ingredients: chlorella vulgaris, a microalga it says helps skin feel firmer and more elastic; a magnesium-rich deep sea water extract for hydration; and padina pavonica ferment, an algae extract that is the brand's Pro-Collagen signature. It's scented with the range's rose and mimosa fragrance.
ELEMIS cites independent trials for hydration and firmness, but treat firming claims on any body cream with caution. What you can count on is a rich, scented moisturiser and a luxurious cleanser: a pleasant upgrade to an everyday routine rather than a transformation.
Both products contain fragrance and fragrance allergens such as linalool and limonene. If the person you're buying for reacts to perfumed skincare, choose something fragrance-free instead.
How this page was written: I haven't tested this set myself. Everything here comes from ELEMIS's product information and major UK retailers' listings. If I test it, I'll update this page with a hands-on verdict.
The verdict
The ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Body Duo is worth it as a pampering Christmas gift and an easy way to try two well-loved products. The sizes are small and both are fragranced, so it suits someone who enjoys a scented routine rather than someone with sensitive skin or who wants a long-lasting supply.
